HR: Human Remains Guide

HR: Human Remains endings guide

Quick answer

HR: Human Remains has multiple endings decided by your choices: stay useful to the regime, or hold on to hope and work against the demons from within. Exact ending conditions are not yet confirmed — the developer built small dedicated areas for the different endings, and this page is updated as players verify them.

HR: Human Remains has multiple endings, and they are decided by your choices: the store page is explicit that you "experience multiple endings based on your choices". The core split is the one the premise sets up — show that you are useful and you might live to see tomorrow, or hold on to hope and work against the demons from within. What is not yet confirmed is the exact ending list and the conditions for each one.

How the choice system works

The game funnels every major decision through the survival-ticket dynamic:

PathWhat it meansConfirmed by
ObeyComplete your boss's tasks, stay useful to the regimeStore page premise
ResistWork against the demons from within, "make a difference or die trying"Store page premise
The middleReport with more or less honesty — the consequences are real either way"The diligent are rewarded, but there are consequences for those who disobey"

Talking to demons and survivors feeds the same system: you gather information and learn the rules that govern the new society, and what you learn is what makes resistance possible at all.

What the demo and the developer confirm

  • The ending area structure. The developer's progress update (August 2026) says the main locations were finished and only "a few smaller areas for the different endings" remained — so different endings lead into dedicated spaces, not just different text cards.
  • The ending tone. A playtester's public feedback describes the demo's ending as well done and "leaving suspense", with glimpses of a police system, a human society, armed helicopters and a human army. Those are player impressions of what the ending sets up, not a confirmed lore list.
  • Multiple, choice-driven, no visible "ending tracker". Nothing in the demo tracks your morality — the demo player in the video below simply notes "Bad ending" after a death, which is the game's humour, not a systems readout.

Ending checklist before you commit

  1. Decide your line early: how openly will you obey?
  2. Talk to everyone — hidden places and secret information are what make the resist path possible. See secrets & hidden places.
  3. Keep your break room collectibles — they are the game's optional-content thread and often gate extra dialogue.
  4. Save a separate slot before the late-game tasks if you want more than one ending.
